Join us for a live calligraphy demonstration and instruction with Rabbi Kevin Hale, Sofer STaM.
Rabbi Hale will be showing us the traditional tools, materials and techniques used to write and restore Torah and other sacred texts, as he guides us in writing the Hebrew letters of "Shabbat Shalom" following a classic Ashkenazi torah script.
For this instruction, you will need a paper, pencil, a ruler and a calligraphy or chisel-tip marker. *
